Making and consuming a super seed mix—a blend typically made from seeds like flax, chia, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, and hemp—can offer numerous health benefits.
Here are 7 key benefits:
1. Rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Seeds like flax and chia are excellent plant-based sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 that supports brain health, reduces inflammation, and benefits heart health.
2. Boosts Digestive Health
High in dietary fiber, especially from flax and chia seeds, which help:
Promote regular bowel movements
Support gut health
Aid in detoxification
3. Enhances Energy and Satiety
Packed with healthy fats, protein, and fiber, super seed mix helps:
Keep you full longer
Stabilize blood sugar levels
Reduce unhealthy snacking
4. Supports Hormonal Balance
Lignans in flax and sesame seeds support estrogen metabolism and may help balance hormones, especially useful for perimenopausal and menopausal women.
5. High in Micronutrients
A super seed mix is a concentrated source of essential vitamins and minerals such as:
Magnesium (for relaxation and muscle function)
Zinc (for immunity and skin health)
Iron (for energy and red blood cell formation)
Calcium (for bone health)
6. Improves Digestion and Reduces Bloating
Cardamom and cloves are both known in Ayurveda for their carminative properties, which:
Stimulate digestive enzymes
Relieve gas and bloating
Support a lighter, more comfortable gut after meals
7. Natural Antimicrobial and Immune Support
Both spices are rich in antioxidants and have antibacterial and antiviral properties:
Cloves contain eugenol, a compound known for immune-boosting effects
Cardamom helps clear respiratory congestion and supports oral health
