Golden Turmeric Milk - very popular nowadays in western countries, but has been a part of Ayurvedic traditions for the longest time :)

Here's the Golden Milk recipe I use regularly: Perfect for an evening drink just before bed.
This recipe is for 2 people; you can reduce it for one person.
Heat 2 cups light, unsweetened coconut milk (or almond or soymilk)
Add 1/2 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh ginger
Add 1 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh turmeric or 3/4 tsp of organic turmeric powder
Add 3-4 black peppercorns
1-inch Indian Cinnamon stick
Heat all ingredients in a saucepan
Stir well. Bring to a simmer and simmer covered for 10 minutes.
Strain and sweeten to taste (if desired).
